Default What does a bad input shaft bearing sound like?

I have an intermittent faint chirping / squeak coming from the transmission bellhousing area. Using a stethoscope it's by far the loudest on the clutch release arm. If I put any pressure on the clutch pedal the noise stops.

Sound like my ISB going bad? Will I get fair warning before it explodes?

92 Accord w/ H23A1 and M2S4 transmission. Thanks

take the two 10mm bolts off the slave cylinder and put some grease on the ball tip of the piston and see if the sound goes away

Hmm so maybe the pivot point is squeaking when there's no pressure? Makes sense, good idea. I'll try that.
