picked up a clean CX from a Dealer
I was looking for a car for the wife to drive around. Pretty much narrowed it down to three '91 hatches, was willing to spend around 2500. We stopped at a TOYOTA DEALER who had a rough '91, told him I'm not interested, was walking away and the sales guy said "wait a minute, I think we got a red one in yesterday on a trade-in". We walked to the back of the lot and I knew right away it was a '92 -'95. But, it was FILTHY. I think a woman owned it before, had hair clips everywhere, paper, and just a bunch of trash all in the car. I popped the hood, it looked clean, oil was clean, anti-freeze looked good. Drove it, everthing was in good shape, no smoke, idled good, air cond kicked butt. 140k miles
me "Okay how much"?
him "$5995.00"
me " No way I'm paying that, I'll give you $1500.00"
After some haggling, I got it for $2100.00
I told my wife this is a great car to mod! She's like "You are NOT touching this car, it's for me! I don't want to hear the motor at all, no exhaust, no intake, NO SWAP"!
I said "Sure Honey, whatever you want..."
