I have a 98 Honda Accord and when I start up the car, the D4 light (it's not flashing, I know that represents a transmission problem) along when the P light comes on and then goes off (D4), is this a problem or am I being paranoid? The car drives fine by the way.

 

Upon startup of the car all the warning lights will come on and then go back off. CEL/ABS/SRS/D4 will all come on and then when the car is started they will go off.
There is only a problem if a light that should go out comes back on blinking or stays on when it should not.

 

Thanks for the info, I guessed I never noticed since I rarely drive my car at night when I noticed, I also checked the owner's manual and it confirmed the same thing.
