e brake button hard to press (00 ex coupe)

Default e brake button hard to press (00 ex coupe)

My e brake button is hard to press down , like literally i have to have both my thumbs on the e brake just to press it hard down. How can i fix this?

ill try it once i have my radiator fan here then make a pit stop at autozone to buy a wrench i need then look for wd 40 and some coolent

You aren't trying to release the brake just by pressing the button, are you? Because it doesn't work that way. You need to pull up on the handle while pressing the button to release the pressure on the latch. Once the button goes in, hold it in and lower the handle.

I've had a similar problem, I think it got so bad that I popped the handle over the button.

Anyways wd40 or any other lubricant spray fixed m problem

I've had this before, just pull the e-brake/parking brake handle off and file open the hole more where the push button release is. I had this happen before and got so tired of it catching I just filed it more, no more issues.

Do i just spray wd40 on the button and let it seep into the handle?
