Good morning,

I am new here & to Honda. My wife's car is a 2006 Honda Civic. She bought it new & it still has low mileage (105K). I just replaced the AC clutch & the air seems to be fine - cold enough. The air flow from the blower seemed to be low - so, I replaced the cabin air filter. That seemed to make a big difference. However, there is no difference in the air flow from ac to max ac. The lower speeds work as they should & the cooling is fine. I assume this is not normal & the fan speed should increase from ac to max ac. And, at maximum speed - the resistor pack (again, assuming this is what it is called) is bypassed for full power. So, I am a little confused... Is the "bypass" done internally or externally? If internally, then it would make sense to me that the resistor pack could be the problem - if not, then it would have to be the connection or the blower motor itself? Any other suggestions? Should the fan speed increase from ac to max ac for a 06 Civic? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

all the Max AC button does is automatically turn on vent and recirculation. If it's already on those settings it won't make a difference so it's working normal.
