Default h22 euro r questions

will skunk 2 pro 1 cams cause valve interfere with the pistons on a stock euro r motor?

Yeah Dazzlesa, I'd do some research if I was you. Find someone on a Facebook page (H2B and F2B owners is the group I use) who has that setup. I'm sure you'll have your question answered there. Honda-tech seems to more archival now rather than rapid response haha. It still serves a purpose!

This is one of those questions that has a few answers. Many factors could be unknown, i.e. if the head or block has ever been decked etc.

The best answer was given, clay the motor to make sure, or if you have access to the gear and don't pull the head, measure with the proper fixtures and ensure clearance.

The answer I bet you want, is that they will work. I will say that they "should" be fine, but you should measure or clay, and you need to run upgraded valve springs and retainers as well, and will need to do something about tuning for them. This all said, why possibly waste that $1200+ of the cams, valvetrain, and tuning, on not taking the time to measure and have a failure, and ruin your engine. Oh, and to tune them properly, you need adjustable cam gears as well. I would recommend to get good ones with stout bolts, not the little 4mm allen head bolts on most gears.

From what I have seen, I would also say that claying is the better way to go with stock pistons, since the clearance that is the tightest is not the overall P2V, but the edge of the valve relief on the exhaust side of the piston.
