2000 honda accord ex trasmission nightmare please help!!
I have a 2000 Honda accord ex. Has f23 in it with an automatic trans
The original trans went bad so I purchased another one from a local junk yard. After putting it in it would slam into gear with a delay. When it shifted into 2ND gear it would just lock up to the point where it would almost throw you threw the windshield so I figured it was bad so from there I took it out and bought one from a Japan dealer and installed that one along with their converter. Now I have the exact same problem!! I've done everything I know to do it reads no codes and the solenoids are good. I even put another ecu and had it flashed to my car and does the same thing. I've been working on these cars for years but this one has me puzzled I'm hoping someone can help me. Thanks mark

How do you mean lockup? Lockup as in the geartrain would lock up the wheels or it would only upshift into 2nd and when you expect it to upshift/lift throttle it just stays in 2nd.
If the TPS is bad it does not always set a code and greatly affects how the transmission shifts.
Check the engine is in proper operating condition as it is what will affect how the transmission works.

the fact that its doing the same exact thing across two diffrent trannies might indicate the ecu is bad, pull it and open the covers and see if there are any burned spots
