Way to go dumbass. Posting a home phone number on an internet message board is very stupid.

Do you know what can happen?

Someone could buy a nice ad in the classifieds section and advertise a non-existant swap for sale.

Example?

I could post that Mike has a JDM ITR swap for sale and that he only wants $3,000.00 for it because he's getting maried and getting out of the import scene. with that price he'd be getting phone calls at all hours and he'd never know why in the hell people kept calling about "the ITR swap for sale" and it would end up being a big ordeal for him.

Same could be done with a 1992 hatch for like $2,000.00 with a "perfect body, etc" and must sell for whatever reason. The possibilities are endless. And with so many of us getting tired of this for sale bullshit by assoles with only 1-5 posts i'm sure some people would be pissed enough just to do such a thing...

Oh man! Did I just give you guys an idea?

What's really bad is the regular users of this board cannot sell things properly in the classifieds because of the large volume of jerk-offs that come here just for that purpose. I put something in the classifeds and about 10 minutes later it was on the 3rd page. To trolls who are supposedly "helping an unfortunate friend out".

 

i was under the impression that the classifieds was set up for members to sell little spare parts, occassionally a car, etc, as an alternative to dealing w/ autotrader.com or carparts.com or the local newspaper. we really don't like noobs w/ 5 or less posts spamming our forums, and it makes it even worse when they are scammers trying to rip members off.

this post rocks. i think i'm going to call mike about that type r swap.

 

If you love this thread then you all must have missed the one where a guy came into 4 different forums here trying to sell a 1988 Prelude with his first 4 posts. I changd it to a $2,500.00 full JDM ITR swap for sale and left his real home phone number and e-mail addy that he posted up himself.

You want that link? The guy got so pissed because he kept getting call after call and numerous e-mails inquiring about the "ITR swap for sale" and I'm sure he'll never be back.
