When you removed your old pads, did you push the pistons in?
If so, did you gently press the pedal part way down sevearl times to bring push the pistons back out after install, or did you floor the pedal?
If you floored the braked pedal you may have over stroked the MC and damaged the seals.
Try a few half pumps of the pedal to see if the pedal comes back. If not, then most likely you rolled a seal and will need to install a new MC.
