B18CR Swap dies while driving, starts back up though
My B18CR Crx (Build thread Wrecked CRX Rebuild - Honda-Tech) has a strange issue, and I wanted to get a few thoughts before I jump into fixing it.
I don't drive it all that often, but a few months back it would lose power while driving. I'd push the clutch in, the engine would die. I'd then start it back up, and continue driving no problem, and it wouldn't die again. Now it is getting worst, where I might have to start it back up a couple times before it will stay alive. Once it is going and past the dying stage, it runs fine.
It also seems to be running very rich, but it will still redline at 8.5k or whatever it should.
I am guessing it has to be something with the fuel. Either the fuel pump is misbehaving (I did replace it last year), maybe the temp sensor is mis-reading at a certain temp, or the throttle is mis-reading.
Throw some thoughts out there, I haven't dived into it yet, but just brainstorming before I bring the thunder. I just know it will be a bitch to diagonst since it isn't a constant issue.

Certainly sounds fuel related. If it's an aftermarket pump i'd check your connections, although it doesn't explain your overfueling issue.
You're not running Hondata by chance? You could datalog your sensors.
You should be able to hear whether the fuel pump is switching off, especially if it's aftermarket. Either way you could take your rear interior out if it's still there to make it louder. If it is, i'd try substituting in a new Main relay if you're confident the pump is ok and the connections are sweet.
Intermittent is the worst.

Ditto the above, I would look at the main relay as they are prone to intermittent problems, and common... Main Relay Fix, Troubleshooting (Honda, Acura) and how to solder. 94
I replaced the main with a Honda oem one not too long ago.
I do not lose Power as in electricity. I lose power as in the throttle does not respond.
The radio and all electronics continue to work.
I literally can, push in the clutch, let the engine die, let go of the clutch and the engine will run fine again. I do not have to touch the key or anything.

I picked up a WIFI OBD2 adapter and an app for my phone for under $25 total.
(They make bluetooth versions as well, but wifi is needed for iPhone.)

If the PGM-FI Main Relay is new, I would also suspect the fuel pump or connections to it, the fuel pump is also prone to intermittent problems. 94
