Hello.

I recently purchased a '99 Civic EX Coupe with a manual transmission. I purchased it as a dedicated track car to improve my ability on track. I also own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium w/ Performance Package and as much as I love the car, and as well as it does on track... It has a lot more power than I currently can use on track. It is also a lot more to repair than a Civic. I looked around for a while for an inexpensive (not mint condition) 96-00 Civic EX and when one popped up for $900 I jumped at it. I actually picked it up for $700 and couldn't be happier. It was broken in to and had the radio and one of the speakers stolen. Saves me the trouble of removing them. Yesterday 8/28 I took the time to remove the back seat, gut out the trunk and this upcoming weekend I will start on the carpet and sound deadening... and hopefully the dash if I'm feeling ambitious.

Future plans are:

• Finish gutting
• Fix trunk latch and interior hood release
• Rear disc conversion
• Coilovers (I'm looking for suspension, leaning to Tein Street Advance currently)
• 15x7 wheels
• Tires (Toyo R888 205/50ZR15?)
• Roll cage, I'll have to check with NASA
• Sparco Evo III seat (I'm fat, and I fit in these)
• Sparco 6 point harness

Some things I am also maybe considering, but I came here to see if it is worth pursuing are:

• Camshaft, if it's worth it
• Header, if it's worth it
• Intake
