97 ex civic w/ gsr swap obd1 jumper harness w/ chipped (gsr basemap p28
i was driving fine one day, then i accidently ripped the ground off while the car was driving.
turned off car > plugged ground back on > drove and notice when i idle im idling high like cold start idle "1600-2000 idle" and wouldnt go back to normal
i plug in a stock p72 OBD2a ecu and it idled fine
plug back in the chipped p28 w/ the gsr basemap and it idles 1600-2000 (the car is in operating temperatur about 40% from the cold.
if this is the cause of my problem, can i just get it fixed or is the damage done on the p28 and i would need to get a new chipped ecu?
If i can get it fixed, how much on average one would charge to fix?
heres pictures.
It is when that connector is swapped with the IAT sensor whcih fits perfectly. Seen this many times with swaps and is an issue I repair constantly.
If this happened "all of a sudden" then it's not related to my statement. Regardless, I would pull and test the IAT sensor along with removing, testing and cleaning the IACV.
