2009 CRV 2.4 auto to manual swap?
Hello, this is my first post and was wondering if it is possible to swap a 2nd Gen 5 speed transmisson CRV/Element into a 3rd Gen auto It is 4WD. I'm sure the clutch and transmission just bolt to the 2.4 but the mounts and pedals are what I'm wondering what will work? The ECU is easy Kpro and a rewired harness can take care of this. Let me who has been down this road. Thanks in advance Ben
I considered doing this and eventually decided to simply buy a 2nd gen CRV. My understanding is the rest of the world got manual 3rd gen CRVs, but fat Americans stopped buying them and were denied standard transmissions. You might try looking at the South American, Euro or Jdm markets for the parts you need. I wonder if Canada got a manual 3rd gen CRV.. It isn't cost effective to do, which is why it isn't done.

That is what I thought. But as most Honda go some of our parts here in the U.S. Are interchange and some other have to be sourced outside the country. I haven't scrounged through part numbers but just wondering if there is a useable manual available in the U.S. To swap?
