Default d16 Best Junkyard Turbo

I have a d16y8 I'm in the process of buying parts for and I am looking for a turbocharger. I'm getting most of my parts at the junkyard ( 450cc DSM injectors, intercooler, etc) and I'm wondering what I could pull a turbo off of? There are some saabs and vw's, is there anything that I will be able to buy and get a bolt up turbo manifold/downpipe? Thanks!

Lets just say, your doing it the hard way.

You think your saving money, but will soon realize that your wasting money trying to go against the grain..

But, good luck trying to put the flag on the moon.

Best? Best at what? You want low end/midrange? Top end? Daily? Track? Drag?

In order to choose the "best" turbo, you need to determine what your power goals are and wtf you want out if.

Junkyard turbos are there for a reason. The technology is typically very dated and the fitment is usually model specific... so making it work with an alternative application requires additional expenses that likely offset the money you saved by buying a junkyard turbo.
