Default 91 CRX Vacuum Question

Hello everyone,

I use this site quite often for questions regarding my 1991 Honda CRX D16A6 race car. I have been able to find many answers using this great resource, but I have been having trouble finding what I need for where the vacuum lines go on my engine.

Here is the story of what I am experiencing:

I raced my Honda CRX for 4 years and was points champion for 2 straight years before deciding to sell the car and moving on from racing. Over the winter my car was purchased back and given to me to work on and race again for free. When we got the car back the engine was pulled out and wires were just strung all over from the quick removal of the engine from the previous owner... We bought a new block and used my original head I had on it previously with the MSD distributor cap and external coil. Since reassembling it back the best I could remember from the time when it ran great I have still ran into some issues I have concerns with. The car misses pretty bad and goes into a "limp mode" as I call it when it begins to get warm (195 degrees I'd say) It throws an error code 4 and 9 quite frequently now. I have replaced the distributor, distributor cap, and coil 3 times and even tried a factory internal coil too. We have adjusted the timing and have recently replaced the TPS sensor and TPS sensor connector pigtail. Now I am getting an error code 3 which is making me question how the vacuum lines are installed. I know I do not have the charcoal canister anymore (It was removed before I ever bought the car originally) and the dashpot solenoid valve was capped off in the middle.

Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me a bit? The car ran perfect when I sold it, and nothing was removed other than the engine itself to have it rebuilt (pistons, rings, etc in the block) I am running out of ideas as to what would cause this missing/stuttering and even going into a "limp mode" when it gets warm... If you need any other info please let me know!

Thanks

i bet it is more likely that you have damaged wiring that needs to be fixed.

One thing I noticed is on the connector side of the new distributor there is a green/yellow wire where the large white wire is supposed to be. Is this a problem or is it because it's an aftermarket distributor?

The harness wiring usually does not match the wire colors on the distributor plug imo.
