Today, I just discovered 3 tiny holes on my Fuel Rail that I haven't seen before, also there was a slight yellow stain in the same area(on the fuel rail). I visually checked out my fuel rail 3 weeks ago and it looked good to me...now I have tiny holes?
I'm willing to bet an injector is leaking slightly because of the seals, but what about the fuel rail...should I change it? It does cost a pretty penny for such an item, I don't want to replace it if I have to. The holes aren't even that deep, it looks like someone took a pen and pressed hard on it(if you know the impression a pen gives on metal).
The center "hole" could have fuel under it, if the hole goes all the way down to the passage from the center of the rail to the injector. But the metal is quite thick. The two outside ones are not likely to ever be a problem.
Did you replace the o-rings on the injectors yet? Fuel leaks should not be ignored. Like finding any leak, clean all the residue off then watch closely for where it first re-appears.
There's no fuel leaking from the holes, I haven't replaced the O-Rings for the injectors yet, that will have to be my next replacement come next weekend.
Ditto all the above, if no holes, [just pitting] no need to replace it, there is a saying "if it's not broke don't fix it" unless you have money to burn, [deep pockets] just keep an eye on it, as mentioned. 94
