Today I had to jump-start a 2007 Honda Accord for the first time. The place to attach the negative cable from the jump-starter is very close to a spinning strap, so when disconnecting the cable after the jump-start, one has to very gingerly and carefully maneuver the hand around this spinning strap. You feel lucky you didn't lose a hand, and aren't sure you won't next time. That can't be right, but the manual seems explicit (see below). In my previous car (2002 Honda Civic), the grounding strap was at the very front, nowhere near any moving parts.
Am I missing something, or is this the way it's meant to work on this car? Are there other safe attachment points, notwithstanding the manual?
