Default Cruise Control Vacuum

Hello all,

I daily drive a 96 civic lx. It has 300k miles on the body and recently put in a lower mileage motor out of a hx/cx or something that did not have cruise control. Car runs perfect except there is no where to hook the the last vacuum line for cruise control. The port is not on the back of the manifold like the lx manifold. What vacuum line can I T into instead of replacing the manifold its self?

Thanks!

Where is the IM from the old engine?

A CX and LX have a D16Y7 and an HX has a D16Y5.

Either way they don't have cruise. Manifold is on original motor. It would be much easier to T it off something else than switch manifolds in the car.

Does it matter which one is used for cruise. Does anyone have a picture of the EVAP purge vacuum? Just to make sure I use the correct one.

You can tee into any line that goes directly to the manifold. The purge solenoid can be identified by it having a hose going to the EVAP canister on the firewall. You want to tee into the other hose between the solenoid and the manifold.

Yes, T off of any vacuum source or just get @slomofo to suck on it while you drive.
