1990 CRX sat for about a week and when I went to work this morning and went into a turn I noticed that my blinkers just stay on solid both right and left. I tried turning on my hazards and it does the same thing. I tried swapping out the hazard button but still same issue. Any ideas??? Could it be the turn signal relay?

 

Replace signal/hazard relay, [flasher], upper left of under dash fuse box, [I think]. 94

 

This or possibly corrosion inside the light socket.

Had that happen on a 4dr door I had. Inside the light socket for driver side brake light was caked up corrosion (no idea why). So when I turned the headlights on all the brake lights turned on. Took a handy dandy wire brush and cleared it all out and problem was fixed.

 

So your problem was that when you turned headlights on the brake lights came on?
How is that remotely similar to blinkers not blinking?

 

I'm not saying my situation is relevant to his, it was simply an example based off the question from FCM.

I'd assume it would be the relay, but I was throwing out a simple two second check. Don't get your panties in such a bunch.

 

I think my issue is related to moister because it only happens in the morning on my way to work and by the time i get out of work they work correctly (blinking). I did clean all the connectors and sockets but issue still continues. The relay I ordered comes in today so we will see if that will fix it.

 

FIX: installed the new flasher relay and I have not seen the problem again.
