Yes, in 1st gear I spin the wheels before vtec then entense wheelhop after the transition. I have to retune the car for a smoother vtec crossover. BTW, I have a 4.78 FD.

wow that graph just SCREAMS VTEC to me. Just tell anyone ignorant in your car you got Naawwwsss... that automatically turns on at 5.5k.

What kind of #'s does everyone think I'd be looking at with:

- standard bore PCT slugs in my c5 block
- Mugen thin headgasket
- skunk stage 2's with appropriate valvetrain

I have a JDM ITR 4-1 header, AEM CAI, B&M FPR, Skunk2 Chipped P28, Field SFC-VTEC, and will soon have cam gears.

I know it'll be around 12.5:1 compression, and I hope the cams would help it breathe well enough, I just want to know what HP and torque I'd be at if tuned right. Also, with that setup would ITB's help out a lot? I'm thinking of using the Toda kit with Hondata or standalone later on.

Wow. Nice graph!! Lotsa vtec power!! That's a HUGE torque jump, too. One question: are these skunk stage 1's equivalent (roughly) to Toda A's?

I hear Stage 1s are more aggressive. I could be wrong.

Roughly yes. Skunks have more duration.

I had the Skunk stage 2 cams and they put down less HP than the stage 1's with a horrible undercurve.

You may want to clay your motor just in case you don't get piston-to-valve slap.

Just a pre-caution.

Standalone will be your best bet as well. If money is allow.

A few guys here are making power with standalone units.

Nice numbers

It's fun, but 1st gear from a stop is stupid. The 4.78 FD is nice.
