It Has Been A While...Another Day In The Life of Lucky-R
Due to life's circumstances, I've been away from the car activities for a while now. But once in a while over the years I would check in on HT to see the latest development and styles of ITR ownership. I am not surprised one bit to see the resurgence of "factory-spec" restorations now and a renewed appreciation for all things OEM. That is cool and healthy for the hobby and preservation of this wonderful product that Honda released two decades ago. So in this light and encouragement of a buddy who told me to bring some love back to HT, I share a few snaps I took this past Memorial Day holiday in downtown Honolulu's Arts District. The car wasn't washed and the car cover was taken off after a 3 year hibernation so pardon the dust...

Good to see you back here brother! Your R looks awesome as always. For those of you who don't know, Lucky-R is a full-blooded ITR enthusiast who bought his car brand new off the showroom floor and has held on to it all these years. Only OG ITR owners would recognize Lucky-R and his car. His car has gone through phases, but each phase was tastefully done with nothing but the best parts. Lucky-R, if you don't mind, could you post up past photos of your ITR? That way we can all see how your car has evolved through the years.

Great pictures Arnold. Thanks for sharing So glad you decided to keep the R. I know you were on the fence a bit a couple years ago while you were away and thinking about selling. You definintely made the right choice. And here we are
I'm loving the factory spec resto's people are doing nowadays. It's awesome to see these cars being treated to rotisserie restorations like the muscle car world before us. We are moving into an exciting time for our cars as they turn into "classics".

Yellow is a signature color specific only to the ITR whereas white and black can be had in the lower trims

I know I'll be shot & hung by the ITR saints, but, I've never dug the US ITR wheels. No caps really do give them character. I wouldn't mind owning a set after these visuals.

Whats the stat line on her now? How many miles?
And yes, post up some old pics as well. Always fun to see the evolution and history of these things.
There's a show nextweek Saturday in Honolulu. If my car is up to it, I might exhibit. Some new changes are coming as well.
The car is still sadly hardly driven. Im living out of state at the moment but I am home this summer. Miles are low as expected. Hopefully I can dig up some old photos
