Suspension shock alignment

Default Suspension shock alignment

my shock isn't lining up with the shock tower. i was wondering how i can fix this. its making a skewicky noise and feel the shock isnt taking any compression how can i fix this

looks like a broken tophat. I would suggest not driving it until it's fixed.

if you just put this together, I would check your installation.

im thinking about just buying a new top hat. it sounds like a reasonable fix. and hopefully its that.

The strut mount is obviously busted. You can rent a strut spring compressor at most auto parts stores. Depending on the car you will need to make sure you mount the part of the strut mount that faces forward, forward, when you set it in the strut tower.
