Default 2016 Acura ILX airbag replacement

Just bought a 2016 ILX that is wrecked. hit in the driver door. Seat airbag deployed. Can not seem to find a used one at the local or national junk yards. Went into a local junkyard with mine in hand and the guy behind the counter said that is a 2012 and up civic bag for sure. He got one from his inventory and set it next to it and it looks exactly the same. Does anyone know if they are the same. The only thing that I can figure that would be different is that the frequency or ohms could be different in the system. Both bags have the Honda markings on them and they are exactly the same in appearance and bolt in patterns. Any thoughts ??

The plug in hook up is the same also. two wire. The wire colors are different but not sure that will be a issue.

It is unlikely they are different, an airbag is an airbag, they do not change much from year to year or model to model, only the mounting configuration would change, [sometimes] depending on where they go.

Don't forget, you will need to replace the airbag trigger/sensor also, up here in Canada, you can not install used airbags, even if not deployed . 94
