Pics and info my Brakes, Suspension, and Stock CAI
As some of you know I put new brakes on this past spring. The following went on:
-1 LR Nissin Rebuilt Caliper
-Goodrich Stainless Steel brake lines
-Hawk HP+ Front Pads
-AEM Nissin Rear Pads
-Valvoline Synpower Dot 3/4 Fluid
-All new pad shims, retainers, and clips
-Painted the rotors and calipers gloss black (except for friction surfaces)
-New Synthetic grease for the sliding pins
-New 17mm mounting bolts for front caliper mounting bracket
-New cotter pins and dowels for E-brake assembly
-Everything was assembled using Honda Molykote assembly lube
The springs have been on the car for nearly a year and a half now (if I remember correctly) and they are Neuspeed race springs (500F/450R). They are about to be replaced with a bigger and better upgrade in the coming weeks.
I am often asked why I have a stock intake on my car with all of the money I've spent on other modifications. I believe the stock intake makes right around the same power as any aftermarket cold air intake. The resonator by the throttle body, the bumper resonator, the plumbing under the headlight, and the subfilter assembly have all been removed. The fender liners have also been cut away (good idea or not, the highway ripped them half off) so that air is sucked directly from outside, and behind the headlight. Granted, you will get a little turbulence from not having a perfect inner contour, but the difference is surely negligible.
Anyways, here are the pictures and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask.
Rear suspension and brakes
Front suspension and brakes (no longer looks like they are painted black because Hawk HP+ dust is corrosive.
Intake box, looking directly up where the bottom of the battery would be
Looking the wheel well at the missing fender liner

As some of the members from G2IC know, upgrades in the next two weeks will consist of:
-OTS Koni Yellow Adjustables
-450F/400R Ground-Controls w/Koni sleeves (will be upgraded to 600R)
-Progress 22mm rear sway bar
-Skunk2 Adjustable (+-4 Camber) A-Arms
Power steering is in the process of being removed also.

I'll be sure to let everyone know about the power steering removal. I've been staring at the Helm's since I got home from work tonight. Going over to Lowe's to replace a burnt Halogen bulb for my work light and then starting to dissassemble some stuff tonight. If all goes well, I'll be carrying part of the rack around Autozone's shipping headquarters looking for fittings. I don't expect to have it done this weekend though, but hopefully I can take a decent chunk out of it.
