Engine Swap
I currently own a 1997 Honda Accord Ex f22b1 (vtec). I love my car, and one day I want to upgrade it to a V6. I know the engine built for my year was a c27a4, however, I'm really hoping I could fit a c30a, because I love vtec.
My question is, with the current engine mounts is it possible, and what about just the amount of space in the front end?

Best way to probably do this is to find a 97-99 Acura CL with the 3.0 and do some measurements/use it for a parts donor.
CL(YA1 chassis) was based on the '90-'97 CB/CD/CE chassis with a similar, if not same, front and rear suspension.

There will be other differences, like the battery and ABS being on the wrong side, the transmission being only an automatic with built-in problems. I have wondered about the J motor fitting into a Gen-5 four cylinder myself, but I am not up for the job of switching the motors even if it would work.
Now, if you could gather up parts, like a J37, the trans from a 03 CL 6-speed, well it would make quite a swap. If it would work.

The layout of the engine bays are different. You would have to move the I4 engine and trans mounts to suit the V6 components. Along with changing the location of a few of the accessories as mentioned above.
It would probably be easier and cheaper to find a V6 Accord and put the time and money into upgrades to it vs trying a stock V6 swap into a I4 chassis!
If you want to keep the I4 chassis and are looking for more power, try the F23, H23 or H22 swaps. A boosted F23 setup would probably be cheaper, it would definitely be easier and less time consuming. it would also be way faster than any stock V6 swap.
