2003 SSM Acura RSX Type S Hatchback Good Condition!
**PLEASE READ THE AD**
CAR IS LOCATED IN Toronto, Canada but I'm 1 hour away from the New York border. I will assist buyers with all necessary paperwork to complete the sale. I will meet you at the US border.
Are you looking for a reliable all-around car with power everything that will never let you down? This is a great first-car if you’re a student looking to impress your friends or if you’re looking to get a sporty beater… then look no further! This sporty Satin Silver Metallic 2003 Acura RSX Type S is one tough car that will never give up. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car on a long road trip. Under my supervision, this car has received a full tune-up (radiator, power steering, clutch, brake, transmission and engine oil) and has come from a history of good owners that have done all the preventative maintenance as recommended by the service manual.
Don't let the mileage scare you, it should easily make it to 300,000 miles and then some! This is my second RSX-S and the only reason I’m selling it is because another car has captured my interest so this has to go. Car currently has 156,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. Most mileage are from highway driving; old owner used to commute 200 miles per day. Oil changes done every 3000 miles religiously. Compression tested, each cylinder comes up at 150-180 (healthy).
The RSX-S comes with a K20A2 with a 6-speed transmission and it's great on gas at any time of the year! On average, I get 800-820km per tank (33MPG!!), and depending on the price of gas, each fill up can vary from $45-55.
The beauty of the RSX is that it’s a sport hatchback so you get much more storage capacity. I’ve fit a bike, 55” TV, etc. You can fit a lot of stuff in it. Even if this car is too old or too high mileage for your cup of tea, it is sure to make a nice winter beater for somebody or swap candidate. I take meticulous care of my vehicles and it shows (although the engine bay is dirty from grease buildup from the rustproofing).
NO RUST is on the outer surface of this vehicle. Previous owners did the touch up work to prevent the rust from building and they rustproofed it every season. I take meticulous care of my vehicles and it shows. All power options still work on this car, heat blows hot but AC will need a recharge. Car comes with the stock radio.
I've modified the vehicle to my liking tastefully and will come modifications listed below:

The bad:
-Check engine light is on for a evaporative canister leak (P1457). This is related to the EVAP system but isn't an issue. I still passed my etest in July 2016 with this problem. However, in the name of full disclosure, the issue is there. Car still drives fine and gets regular gas mileage as stated above.
-AC will need a recharge. All system components are intact/no leaks! Compressor, condenser and lines are all in good shape.
-Car has minor dings on the body given its age but nothing major. Overall it is a good condition car I'd give it a 8/10.
The car was daily driven so mileage will slightly climb. This is a turn key car.
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!
Come test drive the vehicle and/or bring your mechanic to inspect the car! I have nothing to hide.
Re: 2003 SSM Acura RSX Type S Hatchback Good Condition!
Really nice looking car, seems like a solid deal....however, being devils advocate I have a concern. The compression test results, are you saying that one cylinder was 150 and another was 180? Normally a healthy engine will have no greater than 10% variance, yours has 20%. Does it burn oil?
Re: 2003 SSM Acura RSX Type S Hatchback Good Condition!
Car is sold. THanks for the interest everybody.
@kp - To answer your question, it doesn't burn oil. I had it changed 3000 miles ago and oil level is still the same where it's was topped up at last oil change (MAX). No leaks that I know of either. Car was put on a hoist for inspection when I bought it 2 months ago. I should note the compression test was done by the previous owner so the figures are from hearsay.
