Default Big Question too you honda guys thats been in the trade a whyle

Iv bought a 99 civic Hatchback DX coupe the scrap guy's don't offer anything for, Motor was blowing oil out bad when driven so i was gonna swap a standerd 5 speed and a D15B7 into it with a Y7 head, Turns out the motor was binding and i could not bolt the tranny onto the engine my mistake was putting the engine inn before the tranny so iv unmounted it thinking the teeth on the shaft could be wrecked cause the binding. Just bought a 04 civic value package sedan for 250 the engine runs great the surface on the tranny is broak for the bolt locations of the front mount besides that the engine checks out the car was rolled twice not effecting it's drivability the dipstick came out of the tranny in the fender bender the fluids are all ok. Swapping the motor from the 04 too the hatchback would i need the computer from the 04 so the 1.7 runs or whats the deal need help here, Lastly could the stock ECU from the standerd DX support the 1.7 engine the 04 honda civic 4dr is an automatic the DX is a standerd email manson66687@outlook.com i need every bight of detail i can get as this is getting like mad max hell most parts on the 99 are extremely worn some bolts are snapping cause the parts are so work. As well im thinking of mixing the 2 seprit rack an pinions too make one for my 99 Dx as the stock DX rack is rusted an rotten
