Default Front caliper help stat!!!

Hey guys, im currently changing out my axles and front driver brake caliper. the bleeder valve was broken so i went and bought a replacement but only bought the half with the valve on it. how do i take the old mounting bracket off? There is a metal cap piece on one end and a bolt on the other. I removed the bolt but cant seem to figure out the metal cap part. Sorry no pics, currently having a new phone shipped in as my last one it broken.

Are you talking about the slide pins?

Just slide it.

if it does not slide out it means the pin is seized is there you will need to work the caliper from side to side to make the pin rotate or even easier use a torch to heat up the bracket on the side that the pin is seized.

The caliper should slide right off.

Are you soaking it in penetrating fluid?
