Question about short shifter install.

Default Question about short shifter install.

Got my short shifter today for my 97 ex coupe and it came with zero instructions (guess thats what i get for ebaying)...anyway, do i need to get up under my cat and **** to put this on...or can it be done via inside the vehicle removing the center console?

you gotta get under it to loosing the bolts. if you have a friend, great. he needs to hold the bolts up above in place, while you down below unscrew the shifter. its easy stuff

you got so robbed,,,

well anyway it is simple. First take off the ****, Then I think you need to remove the two 12 mm bolts that hold it up, Lower it down. Take out the 10mm or 12 mm that holds the shifter to the linkage. Hen pull the assembly out of the car. Then take out the two bolts that hod the shifter rod together 10mm or 12mm I forget. Aply some lube to the new shifter, install the bushings clean up the shifter sliegh and put some more lube in it . reverse the order, Be really care full putting the shifter back up in tha car so you dont hurt anything ot tear the boot.

Good luck,
when it breaks or pisses you off get a B&M or a DC I have them both and they came with instructions and poly bushings
