Default Is this crank usable?

I bought an engine off a guy and he gave me this extra crank. It has a chip where the pulley goes. Can I still use it or can it be fixed? He also gave me what he says is an Exedy stage 1 clutch that he said only has like 500 miles on it. It's really rusty though. Any chance of salvaging that?

Yeah it can be welded up and repaired. I had one done yeas ago that was worse. All from a stupid aluminum crank pulley. Think it cost me about $150 10 years ago.

Clean up the clutch with some scotch brite. Check the pressure plate for warpage, check all the springs, etc. Look it over real good. If it appears to be what he says it is, give it a shot. The disc looks to be in very good shape com what I can see. A little bit of residual rust won't hurt it. Its already in a harsh high heat and pressure environment. The friction surfaces should clean them selves up after a few actuations.

Id be more worried about the engine journals if its an "extra" crank.

Anything wrong and youll have to take apart the block with the mad scientist.
