Greetings,

Scavenged a local junkyard and found a 2003 Accord with a leather interior. I have cloth so wanted to "upgrade." Rear seats, door panels, and armrest installed with no problems. When swapping out the front passenger seat, I noticed a difference. The 2005 Accord Seat belt attached to the seat whereas the 2003 seats attach to the frame below the window pillar. What are my options here?

Is it simple to swap the tracks?
The new seats have a heated option (going to wire later) with the driver being powered so I can't just swap the outer covers.

Looking for any thoughts or suggestions.

 

Is your car a sedan, and the donor car was a coupe? A cursory glance at the parts catalog tells me that might be your problem.

 

Both cars were Sedans. I may end up drilling a hole in the bottom of the new rails to accommodate the seat belt connection.

 

Hmm, that's interesting. Unless I was looking at it wrong, the parts catalog shows the same part number between sedans for those two years for the front belts. Seat belts are a fairly important safety part, though (and I'm understating the importance there). I wouldn't ghetto rig it by just drilling a hole. I'd highly recommend finding a way to go it right.

 

The front passenger seat belt for a 2003 is different than for a 2004-06 Accord, with different respective part numbers.

Have you just tried leaving your 2003 Accord seat belt in place with the 2005 front passenger seat?
