Hi guys I'm new to here I usually don't have any issues with rebuilding motor and stuff but I'm stuck on a 90 Honda Civic ex has a d16a6 block and a d15b1 head I think the cam hear says pm3 idk but anyways I got the timing on the marks but when I go to adjust the ignition timing the marks are a inch- a half inch off to the right if your in front of the pully firewall side. I can't seem to set it right it fires up great and runs with a little of mis Fire but not noticeable. I need to tips on getting the marks to line up so I can finish the job. Thanks the front of the head says pm9-3 also thanks of Somone can help me out would be much appricated
You have to disable the electronic ignition advance while setting timing.
This is done by putting a jumper in the connector that you use to retrieve trouble codes.
