Default Why is my headlight browning?

I noticed a browning on my driver side headlight. It looked like the outside, so I used headlight restoring compound but it didn't go away.
Does anyone know how this happened and how to get rid of it?

I can try. But the last time I tried it, it just created a bunch of small scratches all over the headlights.

Wet sand first with 800 grit, then wet sand with 1000 or 1500 grit, final sand with 2000 grit then buff with a rubbing compound using a buffer

I use Menzerna products but I'm sure of the shelf rubbing compounds can get the job done

Need to sand it off and buff out the scratches. Some awesome headlight restoration kits out there. I use the 3M one personally.
