AC is always engaged. 2010 honda civic.
So i had problems with my ac. My friend and i replaced the old compressor with a new one. Checked all the grounds and everything. Whenever i start the car. My ac clicks on and the clutch engages. And it does not stop. Any ideas why this is happening? All connections are connected properly. No leaks. I just constantly have airconditioning. Its freezing up my lines when i take long trips.
Is your defrost on/selected? I remember when you select Defrost, A/C will turn on even though the button isn't lit. There's was a hack to prevent this.
When i put the car on the on position the fan in the engine starts blowing. Then when i start the car, after 5 secs the ac clutch engages without me even turning the ac on.
Disconnect the ac relay and see if it stops. You could then swap it with another one and see if that fixes it.
The weird thing is that the evaporator temp sensor should turn off your ac before the evap freezes so in addition to your core problem it's likely the evap temp sensor is bad and this occurrs so much that it's clear that the evap temp sensor on our gen is absolutely atrocious.

You need to get your hands on a shop manual and go through the troubleshooting flow charts. They got them at rockauto in the literature section of your car on dvd for cheap.
