I have electrical problems with my 00 civic ex single cam I bought the car gutted I'm missing a lot of wires(plugs make one) for the compressor, condenser, drier, windshield reservoir. My friend told me it's better to get the whole harness for the engine and plug and play would that be better ? And also is each year different ? Or 99-00 are the same or if it's just a d16 engine ?

96-98 and 99-00 are different

 

1996-1997 honda civic obd2a
1998-00 civic obd2b (except hx)
1996-2000 civic hx obd2a

'96 - '98 OBD2A (Except GX)
'99 - 00 OBD2B (Except HX)
'96 - '00 HX OBD2A
'98 - '00 GX OBD2B (good luck ever running across one of these in a junkyard)

Buy another '99 - '00 Civic EX harness for whatever transmission type you have to make it easy on yourself.

 

Stick within your year.

 

My mechanic just tried to put the ac up for me he tried getting the wires for it tested it for power it wasn't giving power can it still be the harness and some fuses keep poping for no reason too like the sunroof and power lock he told me it might be more than just the harness and wires behind the dash been fucked with too

 

So we just jumped from engine harness to the dash harness. You'll need to get the firewall harness.

 

Why would the guy **** w those wires tho I don't understand what's up w him and he isn't been helping me out he playing the stupid game
