hi I tried to smog my 2005 cr v and the smog shop say my CAT not ready. I thought its my CAT that is going bad so I replaced but after driving it for 150 miles it still say not ready? any help?

sounds more like the sensor after the cat that is needed to be replaced or.. first try to use higher octane and you also need to maintain a certain speed on the freeway for all sensors to read properly .. stop and go wont do it... but what i usually do is.. with that amount of miles already done i just do a full reset on the ECu and drive on the freeway and try to maintain speed i think its 55-65 mph for like 7 miles

 

I tried to do 55-65 mph and never got it to ready. im using 91 gas right now chevron. mybe after 300 miles again I might change out the sensor mybe. wont if the sensor is bad it will give a cel?

 

well sometimes those sensors can get inefficient .. but ill be honest .. ive seen someone driver 2 weeks plus and never got a few monitors to go on ready....

 

replaced both sensor and still not ready. any help?
