Default Oxidized Red Paint

hey I'm new to the forums but i just bought a red ek hatch and was wondering how to get the oxidation out. I've heard some people say to just wax it and use a buffer till it shines but just wanted to hear some input thanks!! also do those headlight kits work to make them clear again?

You will be there for hours with wax by hand.
If the oxidation is minimal, you can buff it to see if it brings out a shine.
It its really bad, you can color sand it then buff it.
These tips may or may not work depending on the seriousness of oxidation.

Some kits work.
They are basically sand paper and a little buffing wheel you attach to your drill and some buffing/cutting compound.

If you have your own buffer, all you need to buy is sand paper.
Sand the lights down and buff them with cutting compound and they will be almost like new again.

I don't see any oxidation(on the hood), just looks faded.
You should try to color sand and buff it.

You're welcome.
Be careful buffing or sanding edges. They are easy to burn through, you don't want a burn through.

Buffing won't help because it's faded, not oxidized.
