The nearest pull-it-yourself junkyard should have a few 01-05 Civics, find one with the transmission already gone and pulling the crank shouldn't be too difficult, it will also be very cheap.

If u were in iowa i got a D17A1 block that came out of a automatic and its good just that the block has a stripped center bolt hole
