So guys I bought my '06 SI trans and it got here today, going to pull mine out of the TSX.

Has new stage 1 clutch/flywheel already, anything you guys recommend replacing since I have trans case apart?

Anything I need to know that doesnt swap over no problem?

 

The TSX clutch housing has a removeable release bearing guide. Although mine is original at almost 150K miles, it would probably be wise to replace it.

Honda high temp urea grease is the only grease I'd suggest using.

Honda genuine throw out/pilot bearings are better quality than exedy replacements. Though, my exedy kit bearings have been trouble free for 50k miles or so.

I'm guessing you already have a K20 6spd flywheel to match your clutch.

What are you planning on doing about speedo correction? Hondata? Yellow jacket? YOLO? Is yours a NAV model?

Mine is a 06 NAV. I want to do the Si trans...but people say that they often times have issues with their NAV interfacing with the speedo...and sometimes peoples' cruise control won't work anymore.

Lmk how this goes.

 

Any update on this? Looks like I have some more research to do. I have an 08 w/ Nav. Hondata can adjust the speed sensor issue?

 

Title might be lead some believe that your gonna put a Civic Si trans in a TSX, but its not gonna work due to different mounts. I think you swapped out gears though and that is possible.

 

Like jefferycastgsx said, it will not bolt up. Don't waste your time.
