need advice from Spoon N1 and Mugen N1 coilover users please
Ok now it's time for a new suspension for the R. I drive it mainly on the track, to and from the track, only occasionnally for longer rides. Tires are RE-71R, car is stripped by about 100lbs. Usual bolt-ons and track pads.
I was initially planning on getting some NZero(now discontinued) with 14k/12K springs since two of the tracks I run on regularly are pretty bumpy and cars that are set up way stiff generally don't do as well on these tracks as they don't absorb the bumps enough and lack traction under braking and while cornering.
Would the usual 18K/16K on Spoons be a little too much on the stiffer side for bumpy tracks or I should be fine? I just don't want the car to skip under hard braking or the rear bouncing around midcorner.
( if not Will I be ok with F 14K/ R 12K if I need to or I would risk blowing them?)
I know that there is no direct comparison between the two, because the end result is a combination of spring rates and damper valving, so as for the Mugen N1, what sping rates do you use for bumpy tracks?
How do they compare for those who have tried the two?
Thanks

Not sure I'd go that stiff on a bumpy track, especially on street tires. I think you'd be better off on the lighter side of your specs.
