SRS/Air Bag System Replacement
My grandfather wrecked his 1999 CR-V the other day. It didn't do much damage, but it did set the air bags off. I have the air bags, seat belts, and SRS module on order to replace, but am having trouble finding information on the proper procedure to reinstall everything. I'm not concerned with the actual installation of the devices, but wondering if there is any certain procedure for making the connections.
I have a Chilton's Manual for it, but it doesn't go into much detail. It talks about a shorting jumper to disable the system, but doesn't say where it is. Also, once everything is reinstalled and connected, I will I still have to reset anything since everything will have been replaced?
Also, on a different note, how do you get the radio code out of the radio? I tried turning the ignition on and pressing 1 & 6, but that didn't do anything. Do all the OEM radios have the security feature, or just some? His looks like a pretty basic radio.
Thanks,
Wayne
