Default Super Cheap Ebay Turbo Build

So 3 of us are looking to complete a bit of DIY, and are wanting to throw together a turbo build on a cheap 2000 Civic HX manual. Are there anything we should be warned about? Currently we are looking at THIS: http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBa...=1466534775765
Getting a custom chip tune off of ebay.
Bigger injectors (But trying to keep stocker fuel pump)

We are not looking for a power build, honestly would be happy if this thing made over 200hp.

Slow and reliable while making pssh and woosh noises is the goal.

Any tips for this build?

Would 3 idiots be able to strap this on with moderate success?

junkyard build= 292837757838829948856773992095 times better than ebay bullshit. bigger injectors, same pump? walbro 255 can be had for around 50 bucks. sounds like you guys have A LOT of homework to do.

Yes you should be warned to NOT USE EBAY generic parts and as far as a tip try reading the FAQs. In fact there is a whole section on what you are trying to achieve.

yes, ebay is a hit or miss. do your homework, and you should film and post it on youtube. people(me) actually watch this kind of stuff.

If you insist on going the eBay route, look into CXracing. They at least do a minor level of R&D in their products and have been around for awhile. It's still Chinese factory ****, but at least it's made by the Chinese kids that get all A's in middle school or something.

I used one of their intercoolers (not a very complicated part to make though) in my turbo S2000 and it was perfect. Don't know what a full kit/turbo would be like from them though.

Do NOT under any circumstances cheap out on the fuel system. Just get some RC injectors and a Walbro 255. You also want a legitimate tune on the car, even if you just end up using Crome or Neptune or whatever the hell is a cheap option. Don't just try to use a "can tune" on a car that has a custom setup. Find a decent tuner in your area, and use them.

They may do RnD but they probably don't do QC.

Hard parts, like intercoolers, piping and such are fine. It would probably be cheaper and safer to grab a small turbo from the junkyard. I got a t3 for my last turbo build off a Volvo for like $60 at pick n pull.

I never built much as far as Turbos and major mods...
But Ebay is just "ok".
You have to REALLY do some research on the SELLERS if you're going to shop Ebay for parts. Check out the seller's review for the last 6 months AT LEAST.

I brought a Exhaust Manifold, Air Intake, and Fog lights from Ebay.....Only failure was the Fog lights after a year.

So do your research...please....

Should just buy a sound system instead of a turbo kit if you want just the pssh and whoosh noise. Put track on repeat and drive around town with the volume cranked to 1,000.

Piece together a setup from used parts in the marketplace. It'll be a hell of a lot better than any of those eBay piles of ****...
