Default Camber & EDFC issues

Hi guys,

Strange issues. I have a Skunk2 Pro plus front camber kit on my 98 JDM ITR. This in conjunction with a set of TEIN Control Master Type Flex coilies with EDFC.

For a while, I had the wheels set a bit negative. I hooked up my EDFC & had the first issue. It wont hold the memory for the 3 presets. The guy doing the installation checked the wiring & confirmed its correct. Diagnosis: module is faulty. He hooked up one wire that allows the module to activate as soon as the car is turned on, so it retains the memory, but if the power button is used to turn it on or off, it loses the memory. Seems to be working, but any reason its doing this?

Second issue: I took the car in for alignment. I asked for OEM specs. No issues on the rear, but the front camber on the right side maxes out completely at -0, 40'. OEM spec is apparently -0.30' but they cant get it there. The left still has adjustment & will probably be adjustable to positive past the OEM spec. Why is this?

Preface: Sorry if I misunderstand your numbers, your notation is a little different than US.

Are you particularly low? Depending on how much you lowered the car, and what type of camber adjustment arms you are using, it's totally feasible that you could run out of adjustment. That being said, .3-.4 degrees is not much camber at all and .1 degree difference between the two sides is absolutely nothing to worry about.

The top pic is the right that cant be adjusted any further, but the bottom pic (left), still has some adjustment. Like I said, they've both been set slightly negative, pretty much the same, and short of OEM spec, entirely because the right can't be adjusted any further.

The car isn't especially low. Function over form for me.

Nice car btw...

I wouldn't worry about it. That little bit of extra camber isn't going to hurt anything.

Thank you. I have other cars, but this is my fav.

It's not so much that the car is sitting around 10 minutes too negative, beyond oem recommendation, it's more that the Skunk camber arms should allow the adjustability to go positive beyond that. And it does, but one side only. I'm trying to figure out why the right is maxed but the left has further adjustment.
