b20z in a 1990 prelude 2.0 si??
I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if i could fit a b20z in my 1990 prelude? Right now it has the stock, b20a5... any info on this swap would be helpful. yes i understand mods are needeed but how much work?
It would be about the same as putting a b18 in your car. You will need mounts, a computer, axles, and lots of wiring. The ignition would be different. You would have to change the trans linkage from cable to hydrolic. It might be cheaper to put a h22 or h23 in. THe b20z only puts out alittle more than jdm b20a.
Its a hydrolic clutch with cable linkages. Other Honda cars (besides the Prelude) has shift rods, rather then cables. But they still have hyrdrolic clutches. Actually, the 2g Prelude had shift rods too...
