Default electrical power cut in drive only?

so i've been tinkering with some electrical issues. i thought i had it sorted but i'm back with another... odd conundrum. i have double checked for grounds and found no shorts in the wires through the dash section. so onward. car starts and idles like a champ. 800-1000rpm depending on temp. if i reverse i can get up to 20mph without a hickup (i did it in an open empty parking lot) BUT the SECOND you ease out of the clutch going FORWARD the dash lights up, gauges spike and the car wants to stall. i can hear the main relay lose power and click back on if i get on the clutch fast enough. i've literally never had such an issue with such a car. lol i'm at my whits end but want this thing running right. any and all help is appreciated.

took some time. pulled all the grounds off. and made brand new ones. moved a few around and found a little coolant in the speed sensor. not sure which of these it was but it runs like a champ. i cleaned the speed sensor with some electrical cleaner and ran 12g wire to all the ground points as well as took 400 grit sand paper to all the surfaces. my guess one of the grounds was not making a good enough contact. but either way. it seems to be running top shape now. thanks
