Default 99 Accord code P0327

I was at a stoplight earlier today and when I accelerated, the car jerked a few times like it was trying to determine which gear it was supposed to be in, not too unusual, the transmission is old, but then the check engine light came on and threw me P0327, which is that the knock sensor on bank 1 is receiving low voltage. Does this mean that I have a knock or that the electrical connection in malfunctioning? The ignition is being slowed to compensate, which I read is a symptom of this code.

99 Accord 4cyl LX with 193,xxx on it if that helps anything. Thanks in advance for any insight

I forget exactly what voltage it should be seeing. You should be able to google it to find a test. However I would first pull the connector, take a look at the wiring and the pins and see if they look corroded, if the connector looks deteriorated. Unscrew the knock sensor and see if it looks like there is anything that needs to be cleaned in the block. Also check for voltage, obviously you should have atleast some sort of voltage(spec might be like 1 or 2 volts).

It's not often a knock sensor goes bad but it's not impossible. The car will run in limp mode with it throwing that code.
