steering slop i just can't stop??
So, I've been tinkering with my GF's 96 accord coupe 5spd
last month I had her take it for an alignment before replacing the entire front end, all bushings, tie rods, rack, upper and lower arms, both axles then send her to get it aligned again. I only had it done before so i could get it close with the new parts, and she bought a 6 mo warranty knowing she would have to go back.
this past weekend she went to have it checked again (their recommendation) and told her the tie rod was bad again on the passenger side, the bushing and tie rod end were in perfect condition as i suspected.
But i digress to the point of this. She has about and inch or more play in the steering wheel still, after the new rack, and after i tightened up the rack adjustment.
Is there something im missing here?
the alignment guy told her it was the tie rod end, and there was play in the wheel (general shake down) but shouldnt that be tightened up?

I had similar issues before, and alignment kept going out of whack. Turns out the inner tie rod was loose. Get in there and check it out.

You might want to be the one to take the car in next time for the alignment. They tell women anything to make a quick buck. Also, you can hear it from the horses mouth and ask questions.
there is minor play in the wheel when its jacked up, but i was hoping becasue the rack and outter tie rods are new as of a month ago, they would be able to tighten it up.
I will be going in for the alignment tomorrow after new tires are installed, i think the **** slicks she has now on it are causing the alignment issues as well considering after about 30mph there is shake in it.
Ill check the inners and outers when i get home today and if neither is loose, i pray the alignment guy did his homework. I did tires and worked with alignment guys before, and i know a woman is normally a quick buck. I would love nothing more that to tear into a guy trying to pull one over.
