Time to say goodbye to my Dizzy? Squeaking "chuck chuck" sound from dizzy side engine
Dear Honda Tech members,
Another day when my Honda is crying sick.
Yesterday after a long drive I happen to open up the hood of my Car (Details given below) and noted a high pic intermittent squeaking sound resembling a belt like squeak from the distributor side of the engine. Based on my limited knowledge, I guess there is no belt in the engine towards the dizzy side and dizzy seems like the only component on that end that has rotating parts in it. Since the squeaking sound is coming from dizzy side and since there is nothing else can I can find rotating.. does it mean that the sound is emerging from dizzy and dizzy is counting its last days ?
OR there is something else in the engine bay that I might have missed ...
Engine and dizzy details
Mix of D16Y7 and D16Y8.. codenamed B15C2 , US closest equivalent to a 1999-2000 Civic). The part number of the distributor is TD-63U which is commonly found in 1999 -2000 Civics
