800hp Turbo Dart Block on AWD EG6
Hello everybody,
I'm rebuilding an old Dart Block I bought used on the other side of the Europe. It has been very poorly assembled by a famous dream seller on the web (bad clearances, bad balanced, bad pins choice, bad degreeing, etc...) and I gonna make a real performance build.
you want pics of my 4WD (and 4WS)? you can look on my website
Civic AWSD - Soxle
My idea is to build a civic like we had dreamed on in 90':
- with the best parts on the market in those years
- before Fast and Furious
- when the Honda scene was young.
In France, I wrote a book on the Engine Performance and I gonna use the civic to promote it on track days.

perhaps you know my red stig girls? (because I run with a red helmet)

She gonna help us with "The Horsepower Secret" (the book) to give health to this engine. Yes, I built the 4WD civic in my garden. Know, I rent a garage. more confortable, more results

Hypertune intake manifold
Twinscroll Ball Bearing Turbo
Fullrace exhaust manifold
Dart Block
Je pistons
Crower rods
AEM V2 management
Dry sump kit
Full CNC RPM-Blade (the Soxle Girdle)
Skunk2 Pro1 camshafts (the older version)
Tilton Clutch (always the same on my car since more than ten years!)
and other parts
happy to be back among you

You sparked my interest though, looking forward to seeing how it goes.
when I looked Dart publicity in magazines or the results at bonneville or with Lisa Kubo, etc... I dreamed... After, I built the 720hp B18, after the civic AWD with the H22 turbo (840hp) and now, I want to make my young timer
I want to make an aesthetic thread. I hope you will appreciate to look it

Well, when you throw Kubo's name into this, now I'm seriously interested.. I like the mission statement, as it makes perfect sense for what you're trying to do..
Keep it up! It's nice to see something new and interesting from a European viewpoint.

Turbo-LS: like that with the Dart?

rudebwoy: search on my weblinks. It's clearly explained.
I don't want to foul this thread.
TheShodan: I'm not sure you will have the european viewpoint with me. In France, I defend my controversial systemic methodology described in the book but many people prefer to "put parts and test" before "keep your money, think, put parts (or build them if the good part doesn't exist cause the massive market) and test". Time is money...

You have LEGO boys in Europe too ^^
Discuss will allow me to better adapt the translation of the book. sometimes, European know not obvious practical stuff that Americans don't know and sometimes the Americans do not know the little tricks that many Europeans have long known. this is what I can observe in discussions. So I'm going to write the book differently, not just translate.

Lived in Europe. Thethought process you describe is more for those that "won't think and just find whatever first , then test to see if it can work.. If not, build it. " Similar to our Island thinking. It works until you come to a wall you can't climb over. I admit, I didn't go into France much for racing, but I love the gumption that Europe has over America, who tend to give up too easily the 1st time around if it isn't like putting LEGOS together..
Can you talk a little about the drive train and your thoughts.. I am not familiar with the delta integrale rear diff and how it is managed, or how you´ll solved it with gear ratios so it will match the gear box and final drive in it. Center diff?? Etc..
I don't know which part of Europe you lived before, but I am in Germany, and most people here cannot think outside the box automotive wise, everything is impossible if it was not written that way, most mechanics here only know how to change parts by the book, no trouble shooting skills, for example Honda igniter is blown they will replace whole distributor. I've faced so many obstacles in my quest. Now the Netherlands them boys have some skills. I have a few friends who also know what they are doing.
nenkitsune, Thanx
The sweed, I don't use a delta HF diff now. It's only a CRV rear diff with a custom lsd (torsen)
now, I'm building a dry sump/block girdle (my famous RPM-Blade). The Dart block is warranty to 1000HP. It will be reliable to 1500hp with this part. and I will get the half of power to make a "standard reliability honda" engine.

Nice girdle.. Are you planning on makeing them and sell?
Have you done or plan any modification to the rear diff to hold higher power or something. As I remember it is some kind of oil clutch in it that engage the rear wheels when the front is slipping.. I would guess tat system is pretty weak..

You didn´t have any troubles with the transfercase/gear?
Iám thinking of a simular project for my self and was thinking if it is worth to get the rt4wd wagon center diff and the cast iron rear diff and get the correct gear ratio custom made. If the transfer gears and case are strong it could be worth it if thats make it reliable and handles alot of power. A dog gearset on that and it will be a super fun.
The dual pump was destroyed. over slipping, one time (oil pump?), clutches destroyed, one time.
my system is reliable. LSD inside (torsen), week-end track use and daily street use.
