Default Question for those of you from Vancouver B.C. area

I'd really like to buy an EK hatch and Vancouver is only a 360 mile drive for me. For obvious reasons (currency conversion!), it would be really nice to find one up there. Thing is, I can't find any classifieds online for Vancouver.

Could you give me some suggestions?

TIA

Thanks, guys! Any other good sites?

As long as it passes emissions and safety requirements, I don't think it's too difficult. It's a lot easier to buy a used Canadian vehicle than a new one I've heard.

Guess it wasn't as good of a deal as I thought. Once I do the $ conversion, the prices come out to be about the same...for stock EKs anyway.

If you could hook me up with a site where people are already selling their cars with the swap and mods already, that would be cool. I check ThePartsTrader.com a lot, but I don't see many nearby (OR, WA, ID, NorCal), and I don't mind driving to BC. At least it would open up my search. Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I'm still waiting for the email from them so I can finish registering. Man, it is really hard to read that white text on white background though!

As for taxes, I didn't realize there was a tax for used cars. I can file to get back the PST and GST at the border.

I registered for revscene.net, and I've waited quite a while now for their email so I can use the site...but still nothing. How long does it take?

So if I don't register it in Canada, I won't have to pay taxes, right?
